This will make sure you do not waste money on incorrect sizing! Finally, Installation. When removing your old filter, make sure you have turned your unit off completely. When open, remove the old filter and clean the vent cover from excess lint and debris. Check the filter for the orientation of the the air flow arrow. You want the arrow to point toward the duct work to instill proper filtration. Latch the clean vent cover closed and turn your unit back on. Lastly, properly dispose of the old filter.
